Academic staff

• The GIGA and Universität Hamburg are seeking to jointly fill the position of GIGA President effective 1 October 2011.

• The GIGA is offering a PhD position in International Relations – Regional Focus: South Asia, to begin on October 1, 2010.

• The GIGA and the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) are offering two academic positions, to begin on October 1, 2010, as part of a project funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).

Scholarships

As part of the BMBF funded DesiguALdades.net research network, of which the GIGA Institute of Latin American Studies is a core institution, a new call is opened for short-term scholarships (six months) for doctoral students and short as well as long term scholarships (6 to 24 months) for post-doc students (deadline 1 August, 2010).

Internship
